Training Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Production superintendant, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting the growth of our production volume by optimizing the constant development of our workforce.

TASKS

  • Participate in the proactive analysis of internal and external training needs of each team;
  • Update the skills grid and identify priority training;
  • Write the content of work instructions related to the plant’s operations;
  • Collaborate with management to plan and organize training activities according to their respective needs and business priorities;
  • Provide technical training to employees of the various teams, both for the integration of new employees and for ongoing training activities;
  • Plan and produce training content and materials, presentations, training plans, lesson plans, etc;
  • Measure the quality of the training provided using the evaluation and feedback system for each training activity;
  • Measure the return on investment of training, periodically, based on the improvement of individual skills and the improvement of team performance;
  • Update training materials to reflect changes during new product launches;
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to facilitate the tracking of administrative procedures related to training, such as Act 90 obligations, expense tracking, departmental budget tracking, grants, etc;
  • Adhere at all times to the Occupational Health and Safety program and ensure that employees understand their responsibilities in this regard;
  • Provide orientation training to all new employees and contractors;
  • Any other related duties as the needs of the organization change.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

(Knowledge, skills, training, experience, etc.)

  • Possess a technical or academic background;
  • Any combination of significant experience (1 to 3 years) in a manufacturing environment in a similar capacity;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French;
  • Ability to work as a team in a collaborative manner;
  • Ability to act proactively to identify needs for continuous improvement and new initiatives related to his/her field of expertise;
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Ability to analyze and synthesize information and be concerned with a job well done;
  • Have health and safety as a primary value.
